Privacy Policy for NoteTrack: Notes & Tasks Effective Date: September 16, 2026 Last Updated: September 16, 2026 Welcome to NoteTrack: Notes & Tasks ("NoteTrack", "we", "our", or "the app"). We believe your personal thoughts, daily tasks, and passwords belong exclusively to you. NoteTrack is engineered as an offline-first application with a strict zero-data-collection philosophy.

Zero Data Collection Guarantee We do not collect, store, sell, or transmit your personal notes, tasks, passwords, voice recordings, or calendar reminders to external servers. NoteTrack operates locally on your Android device. We do not require you to create an account, register with an email address, or sign in to any third-party cloud service.
Local Storage & Sandboxing All user content—including notes, to-do lists, folders, and credentials—is stored locally in an isolated sandbox managed by the Android operating system. Other applications on your device cannot read or access NoteTrack’s internal database without explicit user authorization.
Cryptographic Security & Password Vault Items saved in the Password section are protected using industry-standard AES-256-GCM authenticated encryption. Master cryptographic keys are generated and securely stored in hardware through the Android KeyStore system. Neither the developers nor any third party have the mathematical ability to decrypt or view your stored passwords.
System Permissions & Why We Need Them NoteTrack only requests permissions that are strictly necessary to deliver user-initiated features:

Permission Purpose & Scope

RECORD_AUDIO: Used solely when you record voice notes inside a note entry. Audio files remain on your local storage and are never uploaded.

POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Used to trigger notifications for task reminders and due dates scheduled by you.

USE_EXACT_ALARM & SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM: Used to trigger exact, time-sensitive alarms for tasks and deadlines, even while the device is in low-power or doze mode.

USE_BIOMETRIC: Used locally to prompt fingerprint or face unlock for accessing NoteTrack. Biometric authentication is processed entirely by the Android OS; the app never receives or stores your biometric data.

INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used to verify network connectivity and support privacy-compliant advertisement delivery.

com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID: Declared in accordance with Google Play Developer Program policies for ad frequency capping and fraud prevention.

Advertising & Monetization Disclosure NoteTrack may display non-intrusive advertisements served through Google Play Certified ad networks (such as Google AdMob). These third-party ad networks may process anonymous device identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID) and approximate network information in accordance with their respective privacy policies to deliver frequency-capped or relevant ads. Advertisers and ad networks never have access to your private notes, tasks, audio recordings, or passwords.
Data Ownership, Export, and Deletion Full Ownership: You own 100% of your data. Backup & Export: You can export complete backups of your data in encrypted or plain JSON format to your device storage at any time. Permanent Deletion: You can delete individual notes, tasks, or passwords at any time. Clearing the app's storage in Android Settings or uninstalling the app permanently deletes all stored data from your device.
Children’s Privacy NoteTrack is not directed to children under the age of 13. Because NoteTrack does not collect personal information, we do not knowingly collect any personal data from children.
Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated "Effective Date" at the top of this document and will be made available inside the app under Settings ➔ About & Privacy.
