Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy explains how Shrestha Co (“Shrestha Co”, “we”, “us”) handles information across:

  • shresthaco.com — this website;
  • our product subdomains, including games.shresthaco.com (OmniPlay); and
  • our mobile applications, including any application distributed through the Google Play Store.

These are treated separately below, because they behave differently. This website may serve advertising and therefore uses cookies. Our games and applications do not collect personal information at all. We would rather state that precisely than describe all three with the same generic language.

2. Information collected on shresthaco.com

2.1 Information you provide

  • Contact form — your name, email address and the content of your message. We use these solely to read and reply. They are not added to a marketing list.
  • Product waitlists — your email address and which product you asked about. We use this only to tell you when that product is available. Every notification includes a way to be removed, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.

2.2 Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider records standard server logs when a page is requested — IP address, browser user agent, the page requested, and a timestamp. These are used to operate the site, diagnose faults and limit abuse of our contact and waitlist endpoints, and they are retained only for a short period.

3. Cookies and advertising

This website may display advertising served through Google AdSense. Where it does, the following applies:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • Third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on this site and may themselves use cookies to do so.

3.1 How to opt out of personalised advertising

4. OmniPlay and our mobile applications

This section covers games.shresthaco.com and any application we distribute through the Google Play Store, including applications that wrap our web app in a Trusted Web Activity.

These do not collect personal information. Specifically:

  • There are no user accounts and no sign-up. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number.
  • Game progress, settings and preferences are stored on your device using your browser’s local storage. This data is never transmitted to us and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser data, or uninstalling the application, deletes it permanently.
  • There is no gameplay analytics or tracking in the games.
  • There is no advertising inside the games.
  • No data is shared or sold to third parties, because none is collected.
  • After the first visit the application runs entirely from a local cache and can be used with no network connection at all.

The only information involved is the standard server log described in section 2.2, recorded when your device downloads the application files. Our applications request no device permissions beyond those a normal web page uses, and do not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone or files.

5. Legal bases and how we use information

We use the limited information described above only to reply to your messages, notify you about products you asked to hear about, operate and secure the site, and comply with the law. Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are your consent (contact and waitlist submissions) and our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (server logs).

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

6. Retention

  • Contact messages — kept while the conversation is useful, then deleted.
  • Waitlist addresses — kept until the product launches and you are notified, or until you ask to be removed, whichever comes first.
  • Server logs — retained by our hosting provider for a short period under their standard policy.
  • Game data — never transmitted to us, so we retain none of it. It stays on your device until you clear it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export the personal information we hold, to withdraw consent, and to object to or restrict processing. Because the only personal information we ever hold is an email address you gave us — and a message you sent us — these requests are usually resolved immediately.

8. Children’s privacy

Our products are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Since our games require no account and collect no personal information, a child can use them without any information reaching us. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through the contact or waitlist form, email us and we will delete it.

9. Third-party links and services

This site links to external websites, and our products rely on third-party infrastructure — a hosting provider to serve the site, and an email provider to deliver contact form messages. These providers process data only to provide their service to us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of websites we link to.

10. Security

All our sites are served over HTTPS. Because our games hold no personal data and our website holds very little, the amount of information exposed by any incident is small by design. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International transfers

We operate from Kathmandu, Nepal. Our hosting and email providers may process and store data on servers outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. By using this site you understand that your information may be transferred to those locations.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our products change. The “last updated” date at the top will always reflect the current version. Material changes will be noted on this page.
